La Sierra Family Mexican Restaurant

My favorite dish at our local Mexican Restaurant. Chicken, mushrooms And onions in a spicy cream sauce, YUM! Very rich, but so delish! Is the Pollo ala crema.... This is what Bubble Boy Boutique always get when we come here.

When they are not open and I have that Pollo ala Crema I make my husband make for me and this is how he makes it:

1. 
   
2. Heat oil in large frying pan. Saute chicken and onion until chicken is no longer pink & onions are translucent.
3. Add cream, mushrooms & chicken base and cheese.
4. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Mixture will be somewhat thin, but should be a creamy texture like the consistency of a white sauce.
5. Serve over Pasta (that is how we had it last night).
6. We'd rather go downtown and get our fills of their chips and salsa and chat up a storm then be forced to feed our faces at home... See we all win win win!!

Candle Decorating Class by Stouthouse

Are you looking for something unique to do on Valentine's Day? Join us as we take re-purposed bottles and create one of a kind custom candles! 

In this class we'll be re-purposing cut glass bottles and turning them into candle holders. Candles included! We'll decorate the holders with a variety of burlap, twine and other craft items. There will be a variety of glasses available created from beer, wine & soda bottles.

Class will be held at the Bubble Boy Boutique in Spirit Lake. Attendees can shop the boutique and receive 15% off 15 minutes before class and 15 minutes after class!

All ages are welcome!
