Our Story

Spirit Lake Idaho is a small town in the panhandle of north Idaho. A beautiful mountainous area that attracts thousands of visitors every year. The attractions are plentiful year around. The town is walking distance from one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, only seven miles from two fabulous 18 hole golf courses. We enjoy ATV trails in every direction, horse trails, hiking trails and feature many miles of bicycle trails. The bike trails offer every level of riding in and throughout the scenic mountains surrounding the area. Wonderful country wide views and plenty of wildlife to see on every ride. There are three large destination ski mountains with-in 30 miles of our town and a huge theme park only eight miles away. Hunting, fishing and camping are a way of life.

The only thing missing in our historic small town is enough rooms to put our visitors up overnight. We have some camp sights and some small local rooms available but there are no new, clean motel rooms within 20 miles of our town. Our Indiegogo campaign is an attempt to help fund the building of a new motel in our 100 plus year old town.

Last Saturday we choose to do our date night at our local White Horse Saloon, Grill & Hotel for their
prime rib special. $15.99 per plate and we were full to the max. Then we skipped on over to the 

Karaoke to watch. Sorry folks Bubble Boy Boutique just doesn't sing - or can contain enough booze to be that brave lol ...

It was fun!! We even got to see Three Funky Monkey's there and a number of other locals that we

know and made new friends.

White Horse Saloon, Grill & Hotel also has an awesome lunch section and lol, the next day we opt to

do a order out and got ourselves a couple of sandwiches and omg omg... 

So come visit Spirit Lake, Idaho for a day of shopping and eating and getting to know our wonderful

beautiful lakes and bike trails. You can do a day pass to ride our bike trails for $2.50 from IEP for the

I am so not kidding. I love that about her, it gives her business strength - but it is the customer service that stuck out for me. She helped me decide on a couple of items I personal need done for my own store Bubble Boy Boutique and if I remember correctly she's been doing this for 12+ years (and she is young which really got me excited - because this means we are going to get a TON more of out of her before she retires - that is IF she retires)...

Pi day! March 14, 2015 (3.14)

There will be games, Booths, and of course, PIE!

It will be $1.00 to eat Pie
Games and items at the booths will be separate charges.

Come have fun on the day of Pi by eating PIE and playing games!

Pre-registration is required. We need to know that you are bringing a pie. To register, grab the entry form from Evielynne at the Bubble Boy Boutique and submit it in or before March 10th 2015

Rules:

1. The contest is open to anyone wishing to bake a pie(s)
2. The pies must be made from scratch and baked by the individual entering the contest. No store bought crust or pies.
3. Each baker can enter as many pies as they wish. There must be an entry form for each pie.
4. Must bring two identical pies per submission. 1 for the judges and 1 for the attendees
5. Each entry will receive a Number that corresponds to the pie entered.
6. The Pie must have a bottom crust.
7. We will not accept any pies that require special handling, refrigeration or heating.
8. The finished pie cannot contain raw/uncooked eggs (white or yokes)
9. Pies must be baked in an 8-10 inch pan. The pan will be non-returnable.
10. Due to allergies, each pie must contain a list of ingredients, typed in at least 14 font
11. Pies must be brought to the Bubble Boy Boutique between 11 and 11:30 am. If your pie arrives after 11:30 am it will not be eligible to win
12. All pies submitted for judging will no longer belong to the bakers. Tasting slices will be sold to attendees without compensation or reimbursement to the baker.
13. Bakers agree to have their pie, recipe and name published and/or photographed without compensation or reimbursement

Judging
The Judging process will be on a 20 point system based on the following:

1. Appearance (5 points) – Does it look like a pie? Does it cut well? Does it have the appropriate gooey center or firmness? Does it entice you to eat it?
a. Bonus points if you find a way to work the pi symbol into your pie
2. Taste (5 points) – Is the flavor balanced? Does it have the appropriate texture?
3. Crust (5 points) – Is the crust fully cooked and flakey?
4. Overall (5 points) – would you take another slice?

Awards
Winners will be announced at 2 pm 3.14.15
